THQ teases the return of the Daksiders series
Fighting in a post-apocalyptic world where mankind faces extinction has never been so exciting as in Darksiders, especially because you get to embody one of the powerful creatures supposedly in charge of delivering the wrath of God upon the puny mortals. Instead, the series reveals an underlying web of lies, treachery, and hidden agendas that ultimately forces the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse to fight against the current establishment to restore balance to the world. Action to boot, unique combat abilities, distinct gameplay styles, and an epic storyline are shared by the three main installments in the original series. Each of them allows you to play as one of the four Horsemen - War in Darksiders, Death in Darksiders II, and Fury in Darksiders III.
Darksiders IV?
It's unclear if THQ Nordic will choose to continue the popular series with Darksiders IV or will choose another name for the next installment. However, the publisher has released a teaser that precedes a much bigger announcement related to Darksiders.
Alongside the publication of the video, THQ Nordic has revealed that Gunfire Games is in charge of developing the new Darksiders game. This is great news as the studio is the creator of the critically-acclaimed Remnant 2, one of the big hits of last year which is about to get a new DLC. In any case, the revival of Darksiders has been received with joy by a huge community that enjoyed the first three games in the series.
So far, there is no more information on this matter, but we are sure that THQ Nordic will make an official announcement soon. Until then, you can play the original trilogy of games to get in the mood or even discover Darksiders Genesis, a spin-off ARPG that offers a different view of the franchise and delves into the events that preceded the first Darksiders.
