Steam launches its first major sale of the year with Real-Time Strategy Fest
Valve kicks off the week with an event designed for strategy game fans. The Real-Time Strategy festival on Steam includes discounts on some of the finest titles in the genre. This Real-Time Strategy Festival marks Steam’s initial significant themed sale of the year, presenting gamers a chance to enhance their strategy game collections at notably lower prices while also trying out new demos and content from the Steam Points Shop.
The sale features a wide variety of strategy games that go beyond classic RTS titles. For fans of grand strategy, Europa Universalis 4 is available at an incredible 90% discount ($5/£4/€5), while Victoria 3 can be yours for half off ($25/£21/€25). The upcoming Frostpunk 2 is offered with a 22% discount, now priced at $35/£30/€35, and the medieval city-builder Manor Lords is reduced by 30%, costing $28/£24.49/€28.
Popular classic RTS games are also showcased in this sale, featuring significant deals like the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 Anniversary Edition at 80% off ($10/£8/€9) and the Age of Empires 4 Anniversary Edition for half price ($20/£15/€20). The Homeworld series is seeing especially steep price cuts, with both the Remastered Collection and Deserts of Kharak at 90% off ($3.49/£2.69/€3.19 and $5/£3/€4.59 respectively).
Additional notable discounts include Iron Harvest at 85% off ($4.49/£4/€4.49), Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 at 80% off ($4/£3.59/€4), and Company of Heroes 3 with a 50% discount ($30/£24/€27.49). The sale also includes 4X games, such as Stellaris at a 75% discount, and encompasses tower defense games and other strategy-related titles.
