Praetorians and Commandos 2 remasters get a launch date
Even though both Praetorians and Commandos 2: Men of Courage were originally created by different studios, but Kalypso Media, developer of the Tropico series, have been the ones in charge of creating the HD remastered versions of both games. Each of the games is a jewel that shines brightly in the genre of the real-time strategy, and we will finally be able to play them again in early 2020, but with enhanced visuals. Praetorians and Commandos 2 remastered versions in HD will be available on January 24, 2020.
Praetorians is a classic RTS that lets you command the powerful armies of the Roman Empire as it wages war against neighboring territories to expand the lands under its domain. You will fight against Egyptian and Gauls through different campaign missions and try to claim victory over their armies and conquer their land. Opposite from other RTS games, Praetorians gives more importance to strategic troop management than to the management of the resources needed to build those troops, delivering compelling gameplay that will delight the fans of the genre.
On the other side, Commandos 2 will have you leading a squad of soldiers that operates behind enemy lines during World War II. Combining stealth with the specialized abilities of each of the members in your unit, you will have to complete different objectives in a variety of scenarios. Planning your strategy ahead of every mission and fast reactions are necessary if you want to progress through the game. The game is quite difficult, and the learning curve is a bit steep, but if you like challenges, it's definitely one of the best strategy games to test your skills.
The remastered versions in HD of both games feature enhanced graphics and controls. If you pre-order Commandos 2 HD Remaster or Praetorians HD Remaster, you will be able to participate in the closed beta that will start on December 13th, which will feature a variety of missions and skirmishes as well as multiplayer games in the case of Praetorians.
