Little Big Adventure will have a reboot
Coming up with new versions of classic games seems to be the trend nowadays. Every day we hear announcements about remakes, remasters, and reboots, and in most cases, all of them manage to become a success, mainly due to the original games having a huge number of fans. In some cases, like Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the game offers a brand new experience and features completely new mechanics, rapidly catching the attention of newcomers too. But we are not talking about a franchise as big as Final Fantasy today.
Little Big Adventure is a modest game created by Adeline software International that gained popularity in 1994. It's an adventure that pits a hero named Twinsen against the terrible tyrant that has subjugated planet Twinsun, the evil Dr. FunFrock. Also known as Twinsen's Adventure, this game with isometric graphics in 3D became popular enough to have a sequel, Little Big Adventure 2, and both have become cult classics over the years.
Little Big Adventure will be back
With the 30th anniversary of the Little Big Adventure series getting closer, it seems that the developers of the old game are willing to bring the franchise back. Last year Adeline Software co-founder Didier Chanfray announced his plans to launch the third installment in the series, but it seems that these plans have changed. One year later, and after a good reality check, he is talking about a reboot of Twinsen's story.
"We quickly realized that the third game we initially wanted to make - the Genesis of the Stellar Entity - would be strange to make. The script was a first draft written to end the series. With the new studio, we do not want to end the series. We want to attract a wider audience and share the wonderful world, iconic characters and story with as many players as possible, so that more Twinsunian adventures can be created.
We decided to reboot Twinsen's story."
If you don't know about Little Big Adventure and are wondering what it's all this about, you can find the original Little Big Adventure (Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure) and Little Big Adventure 2 (Twinsen's Odyssey) on our comparator at the best price.
