Epic is giving away Amnesia: The Bunker and more free this week

The Epic Games Store updates its giveaway offer every Thursday, and it’s that time again to snag a couple of new titles. The most recent games available are Amnesia: The Bunker and Samorost 3. As usual, you have a week to permanently add these titles to your Epic Games Store library.

The giveaway begins with Amnesia: The Bunker. Created by Frictional Games, this is the third installment in the survival horror series directly from Frictional, following The Dark Descent and Rebirth.

In this installment, players assume the role of a French soldier during World War I. Trapped inside a bunker and pursued by a creature, as is customary for the series, Henri Clément must scavenge for resources, maintain light sources, and utilize whatever he can to survive.

"Solve puzzles your own way in a semi-open world," states the developer in the game's description. "You need to explore and experiment to find your way out. Discover what’s happened down here - what has become of the other soldiers? Where did all the officers go? What terrifying nightmare lurks beneath this hellhole? Unravel the secrets of the Bunker and familiarize yourself with the twists and turns of this brutal sandbox to increase your chances of survival."

For those who prefer not to engage with horror, Amanita Design's point-and-click adventure Samorost 3 is also featured in today’s giveaway promotion. This game follows a space gnome who uses a magical flute to solve puzzles across nine alien worlds. It offers a longer campaign compared to previous titles in the series, all presented in the studio's renowned hand-crafted art style.

The giveaways for Amnesia: The Bunker and Samorost 3 on the Epic Games Store are available right now, running until October 23. PC gamers can add these games to their library for free during this seven-day window before the next offers arrive. Speaking of the upcoming giveaway, Fear the Spotlight will be available as the next free title on that same day.
