Final Fantasy developer has good news for Xbox
In recent years, it's been no surprise to gamers that Square Enix hasn't been releasing its Final Fantasy titles on the Xbox platform. Most of the major Final Fantasy titles have been PlayStation exclusives. Some, like Final Fantasy XVI, have plans for a PC release, but there's still no sign of them coming to Xbox.
However, Square Enix might be looking to change this in the future, as they've now implemented a new multiplatform strategy.

Naoki Yoshida, the producer and director of Final Fantasy XIV, has good news for Xbox fans. In an interview with Eurogamer, Yoshida noted that players have been "waiting a long time for the Xbox release," but the game has had "a really strong response," with communities growing on the platform.
He further expressed his interest in bringing more of their games to Xbox:
"With Final Fantasy XIV as an opportunity, we can use this chance to strengthen the community on Xbox for the Final Fantasy franchise. I think this is where we would focus on more communication and work on establishing the community moving forward. This is important not just for Final Fantasy XIV, but also for Square Enix."
Not just the Final Fantasy titles—Yoshida also wants to bring more Square Enix games to Xbox:
"So, with Final Fantasy as the starting point, we want to release more Square Enix games on Xbox, and there will be more of our titles released on the platform. I hope players will look forward to what's to come."
The future of Xbox gaming looks promising, especially with Square Enix’s upcoming titles. Just recently, Square Enix officially announced the PC release of Final Fantasy XVI in September, along with two DLCs.
