Two great stealth games are now free to claim on the Epic Games Store

Claim two great stealth games for free right now on the Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store’s 2026 giveaway campaign is in full swing. The second wave of free titles for the new year has just gone live, introducing two stealth-focused adventures from the Styx series and taking the place of last week’s freebie, Bloons TD 6. You have seven days to claim both games and keep them permanently in your Epic Games Store library.

Originally released in 2014 by Cyanide Studios, Styx: Master of Shadows puts players in the role of Styx, a centuries-old goblin gifted with magical powers. Set in a dark fantasy world, the game emphasizes stealth-based gameplay, encouraging sneaking, stealing, and eliminating enemies from the shadows. One of its standout mechanics allows Styx to create clones of himself, opening up unique possibilities for scouting and distracting foes.

Also available is Styx: Shards of Darkness, the 2017 sequel that takes place decades after the original story. Styx returns with a wider range of abilities, and the game introduces a cooperative mode that lets a second player control a goblin clone. Designed as a sandbox experience, it gives players the freedom to approach missions in multiple ways while navigating large, open-ended levels filled with risks and rewards.

Both games feature layered sandbox environments powered by Unreal Engine 4, offering detailed visuals and vertical level design. Players can climb, swing, and cling to their surroundings, using shadows and elevation to avoid detection and gain the upper hand.

The Styx: Master of Shadows and Styx: Shards of Darkness – Deluxe Edition giveaways are currently available on the Epic Games Store. PC players can claim them for free within the seven-day window, after which the next set of free games is expected to arrive on January 22.
