Epic Games Store gives away Machinarium and Make Way for free

Claim Machinarium and Make Way free for a limited time on Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store has returned with another round of free game offers. Last week's selection featuring Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge and Strange Horticulture has concluded, and in its place, players can now claim Machinarium and Make Way for their PC. As usual, you have a week to permanently add these new titles to your Epic Games Store library.

Machinarium comes from Amanita Design, which has essentially given away its entire catalog on the Epic Games Store. This game is a point-and-click adventure where you play as a small robot residing in a decaying robot city. After being discarded into a scrapyard, the robot sets off to rescue his robot girlfriend and thwart the kidnapping schemes of the Black Cap Brotherhood gang.

Though there are no spoken words, characters express themselves through thought bubbles. Each stage presents a puzzle that players need to solve to progress to the next scene, all conveyed through visual hints. The developer has described the game as featuring logical puzzles, adventure missions, brain teasers, and mini-games.

Next up is Make Way, a high-energy multiplayer racing title viewed from a top-down angle. This arcade party game has racers navigating through eccentric tracks while dodging obstacles and collecting power-ups. However, there’s a unique twist: players themselves create the track before the races begin.

The Machinarium and Make Way promotions on the Epic Games Store are currently available and will last until September 4. PC gamers can add these two titles to their library at no charge during the seven-day period before the next set of freebies is introduced. It has also been announced that The Battle of Polytopia will be included in the upcoming giveaway.
