New Budget Ryzen 3D Chip Quietly Released by AMD

AMD has officially introduced a new budget-friendly X3D series CPU for its AM4 CPU platform, known as the Ryzen 5 5500X3D. Set to launch on June 5th, this processor enters the market quite late in the lifecycle of AMD's newer AM5 CPU socket, making its release somewhat unexpected.

Similar to other CPUs in the Ryzen 5000 series, the 5500X3D features the Zen 3 CPU architecture, which is now two generations behind the latest Zen 5 CPUs. With AMD recently teasing its upcoming Zen 6 series processors, it seems unusual for the company to release a new Zen 3 CPU.

In essence, this CPU is characterized as a Ryzen 7 5700X3D with a reduced core count (six cores instead of eight) and lower clock speeds. Therefore, we expect this CPU to be budget-friendly.
